Along with our wide range of products, we’re here to offer free personalized advice and simulations tailored to your design goals and budget. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been building for years, we’re excited to share our knowledge and help you create the perfect system. 

How we can help

  • Tailored advice on speaker part choice to suit your design goals.

  • Basic simulation of enclosures using WinISD.
  • Basic simulation of frequency response using XSim (requires measurements taken by you).

In addition to our free services, we offer the following services for a fee.

  • Design and cut the enclosure parts of your final design using our precision in house CNC. Included is a 3D model of your speaker using Fusion 360.
  • Fully custom speakers including assembly and basic paint finishes
  • Crossover assembly

We are putting together a more comprehensive price guide which will assist in more accurate pricing and specifics on standard inclusions and exclusions. We hope to release this shortly.

In the meantime, indicative rates can be found below:

Fusion 360 Enclosure Design and Toolpath Setup:

Starting at $250

  • Pricing varies based on the complexity of the design with a minimum charge of $250.
  • You'll receive the 3D model in a .STEP file format for your own use.
  • Enclosure Design is required where we cut your enclosure as we need it fully modelled in our software to run the tool paths on our CNC.
  • We can design your enclosure and provide drawings to build it yourself. Producing individual part and assembly drawings attracts an additional fee.

CNC Cutting Service:

$140-$180+ per 1200x1200 Sheet + Material

  • We will nest your design on a 1200x1200 sheet (our CNC's maximum size) and charge per sheet.
  • Material costs are additional. We primarily use 18mm MDF, which is priced at $40 per 1200x1200 sheet.

Cabinet Assembly:

Custom Quote - Typically $900-$2,000+

  • We offer cabinet assembly services with pricing based on the complexity of your project.
  • A small, basic sealed subwoofer build or bookshelf speakers would be $900 ranging up to $2,000+ for a pair of complex multi-way tower/floorstander speakers.
  • Alternately, we send the parts out in kit form to assemble yourself

Painting & Veneering:

Custom Quote - Typically $350-$850+ 

  • We currently finish our speakers with a a Primer/Sealer Undercoat and two coats of water based enamel which can rolled or sprayed depending on your desired outcome.
  • Rolled finishes are much less labour intensive as it doesn't require setting up and cleaning of spray equipment however spray finishes provide a much higher end and polished look.
  • Finishing polyurethane over the paint to provide a glossier finish is also possible
  • We currently outsource veneering with pricing subject to complexity but we're working on options to bring this in house

Measuring and Crossover Design/Implementation:

$200-$1,000+

  • Once your speaker is built, we can finish off the whole process for you by measuring and designing a custom crossover to suit your design.
  • For those that have done comprehensive speaker measuring and crossover design, you'll know just how involved this process is to get right! 

Shipping: 

Cost + Packaging Fee

  • Smaller orders come under our $15 flat rate Shipping Fee with no additional packaging fee
  • Larger orders under 25kg are often boxed and may attract a packaging fee of $80-$100
  • Larger items or items over 25kg-30kg must be palleted. Where a pallet is required, a packaging fee of $250+ (subject to size and quantity) will be charged for the time and cost to build a custom pallet.
  • Free pickup is also available.

Our current lead times are as follows:

  • Baffle Cutting: 2-3 weeks
  • Speaker Kits: 6-8 weeks
  • Small Custom Builds: 14-16 weeks
  • Large/Complex Custom Builds: 18+ weeks

*All projects that require CNC cutting, must be drawn as we use the model to run our CNC tool paths. All services after that are optional. 

**Volume is based on Gross volume of the enclosure and includes any space taken up by drivers, ports and bracing etc.

#18mm MDF is the most typical material used in speakers builds. However, we can use any material you can think of, as long as we can source it!

^Shipping cost largely comes down to the size of the speaker, your location and the type of the address we deliver to (Residential, Business or Depot Delivery). We use ‘Big Post’ for large shipments. For more information, head to the Shipping page on our website.

~Measuring and Crossover Design/Implementation excludes any costs of parts and varies greatly depending on the desired outcome. Pricing reflects basic on-axis measurements and a moderately flat response. If a more complex design with off-axis measurements and/or a very finely tuned response is required, this will attract higher costs.

Custom Plate Amplifiers:

As we handle the entire plate manufacturing process of our NPA Plate Amplifiers in-house, we’re able to offer fully custom plates tailored to your enclosure and design goals.

Additional Services:

In addition to our cutting and assembly services, we can help you with every other step in the speaker building process. This includes advice on taking measurements, crossover design and assembly, DSP tuning, troubleshooting existing speaker issues and much more! Our typical rate is $100.00 per hour.
