It's been a long time coming, but our SB Acoustics - GEMA Speaker Kit crossovers are now available for sale!

If you've been following our journey on this kit (or have attempted to source the components yourself), you'll know just how hard this crossover is to put together properly. We were fortunate enough to have a small business based in Melbourne by the name of 'Ampaday' reach out with an offer to help.

Since January, we've been working with Ampaday to source quality parts and fully assemble the Gema crossover, and we couldn't be happier with the results! Not only have we secured premium components at great value, we've fine tuned the layout to ensure no inductor coupling while keeping the crossover clean and efficient. With the assistance of Ampaday, we design, hand assemble and test every crossover right here in Australia.

We haven’t compromised anywhere. Every component value matches the original SB Acoustics schematic, down to the inductor gauges, resistor wattages, and even the materials used throughout.

Even better, these crossovers come fully terminated. Just drop them in, screw them down with the attached tubed PCB spacers, and plug the pre-terminated spades straight into your drivers and binding posts. No soldering, no guesswork.

We’re offering two versions: 'Generic' and 'Premium'. Both use the same Ampaday Inductors and Resistors. The 'Generic' uses Ampaday Poly Caps throughout, while the 'Premium' swaps them for Jantzen Cross Caps. Don't let the 'Generic' name of the entry level crossover fool you, both versions perform near identically in our oscilloscope tests and use components with the same tolerances and materials, making it seriously good value if you’re not fussed about brand names.

There’s a subtle detail on this crossover, and will be on all of our assembled crossovers that most people will probably miss: two sets of initials. If you know a bit about how NB Audio began, you’ll know it was our late father who first sparked our interest in home theatre and audio. That passion stuck, and it’s a big part of why we do what we do. When we first started talking with the man behind Ampaday, we realised we ahred the same backstory. Those initials are a quiet tribute to where it all started, for both of us. And now, that story becomes a small part of yours too.
