NPA Plate Amplifier Backing Box

Description:

Because our plate amps aren’t fully sealed by design, we offer an optional Backing Box that drops into place before installation. It’s designed to create an airtight rear chamber, and we include gasket tape to ensure a reliable seal against the enclosure.

These Backing Boxes are 3D printed in-house using HP-ASA, a high-performance, heat-resistant material rated to handle temperatures at least 20°C higher than what the plate amp will generate with intense use. 

Comes in two different sizes, the NPA-BB1 suits the NPA250, NPA250-8, NPA500 and NPA500-8 plate amps. The NPA BB2 suits the NPA1200-8 plate amp.

The most efficient way to produce these was by printing them in two separate parts and bonding them with a HP-ASA and acetone mix. This process, while very strong, may leave minor visual imperfections along the join lines, but these are purely cosmetic and do not impact performance.

Seconds:

If you've spent any time with a 3D printer, you’ll know things don’t always go exactly to plan. Occasionally, we end up with prints that have small-ish cosmetic flaws. They don’t affect performance, but they’re not quite up to the standard we set for new products. Instead of tossing them out, we offer them at a $20 discount as a 'seconds' product.
