Every driver in our catalogue comes into the builder with its figures already in, straight from the makers' datasheets and drawings. Pick a driver and start designing. You don't have to look anything up.

  • The full T/S set, Xmax, power and sensitivity

Everything you'd open WinISD for, then it keeps going

  • Sealed, ported (a slot or a round port), passive radiator, 4th- and 6th-order bandpass, and isobaric pairs
  • Response, max SPL, cone excursion, port air speed, radiator excursion, impedance, group delay and amp power
  • Up to four designs on one graph, each in its own colour
  • Box losses (QL, QA and QP), subsonic and low-pass filters, EQ and the Linkwitz transform
  • Room gain for four sizes of room, or a car
  • Real amps from our range, wired for their lowest load, with suggested DSP settings
  • Checks that tell you when a port will chuff, the cone runs past Xmax or the walls may ring, most with a one-click fix
  • Your own driver too: load its WinISD file or type in the specs

It uses the standard model speaker designers use, checked against the textbook results and an independent model of our own.

Build it

  • The box's sizes and shape, and a 3D view you can turn, zoom and see inside
  • A slot port built from the box's own panels, along the floor
  • Interlocking window braces: you choose how many run each way
  • The cut list, and a cut map laid out on your sheet
  • Panel drawings with every hole, recess and threaded insert
  • A printable build plan: wiring, amp settings and step-by-step assembly
  • DXF and STEP files for your CNC (tested in Fusion 360)

The example: a 15" SB Audience BIANCO-15SW400 in a 203 L ported box tuned to 33.5 Hz, on a Dayton SPA300-D plate amp, with two braces each way.

Every part, one click

The driver, the amp, the radiators and the build bits all come from our store, with their prices and stock. Add the lot to your cart, or send it with the cutting as one order. Wire, terminals, damping, gasket tape, feet, screws and grilles are there as extras, with the quantities worked out for your box.

The big one

We'll cut it for you

The Cutting tab prices your design in five lines: parts, material, cutting, packaging and shipping, with Big Post's quote once ordering opens. We cut every panel on our CNC, with every hole and recess, and pack them flat.

  • Big Post takes it to a depot near you or to your door, or you collect it free from Greenock, SA
  • Kits of our own designs are coming too
  • Ordering the cutting online isn't open yet, and it may come after the launch

Coming next

2 and 3-way speakers

Right now the builder is built around subwoofers. Multi-way is well on its way: 2 and 3-way speakers, with each way in its own box, on the same graphs, and with the same cut list and plans. It's coming in the near future.
