Plate Amplifiers

A plate amp fits into a cut-out in the back of the cabinet, so the speaker carries its own power. Here's what we stock:

  • Dayton Audio SPA: subwoofer plate amps from 100 W to 1000 W. The SPA250DSP and SPA500DSP add DSP for EQ and tuning.
  • Dayton Audio PPA800DSP: an 800 W DSP plate amp for PA and powered speakers.
  • Hypex FusionAmp: 1-, 2- and 3-way plate amps with DSP built in. The crossover is set in software, so no passive crossover is needed. Hypex parts are ordered in from the Netherlands for each order, so allow lead time.
  • Sledge STA: replacement plate amps to suit SVS PB12-NSD, SB1000 and PC13-Ultra subwoofers.
