Description
A 6" woofer from Dayton Audio built for very shallow enclosures. Its low-profile frame and venting let the back of the woofer sit directly against the cabinet, or be countersunk into it, so the enclosure can be less than 1-1/2" deep. Dayton suggests it for ultra-thin TV speakers, as a down-firing woofer in a low-powered system, and in centre channels, monitor stands and bookshelf stands.
Features
- Very low profile woofer fits in tight spots
- Flat woven glass fibre/honeycomb aluminium composite cone
- Dual sandwiched spiders and S-shaped surround enhance linear travel
- Large 1¼" 4-layer voice coil and optimised T-pole gap geometry
- Peripheral holes in the spider landing allow zero-clearance venting in shallow enclosures
- Suits on-wall, in-wall and car audio applications
