Description

The Dayton Audio PTMini-6 is a miniature planar tweeter that is big on performance and sound quality. With 6 ohm impedance and incredibly small size this is an excellent choice for car audio or home use. The membrane of a planar tweeter is an almost weightless ribbon of heat-resistant Kapton material and an etched aluminum conductor, enabling the performance of aluminum ribbon tweeters without the losses inherent in the transformer of a conventional ribbon tweeter. The result is a tweeter that is incredibly fast, dynamic, and smooth sounding with imperceptible distortion and excellent power handling. A crossover cut-off frequency of 4,000 Hz or higher is recommended with a 12 dB/octave filter slope. The surface-mounted housing design can also be flush-mounted.
