30mm Voice coil, Norex paper cone. Low damping SBR rubber surround with high exertion and resilience. Open structure cast frame for reduced reflections and compression. Aluminium alloy for light weight, non-magnetic and extra rigidity. Shorting Copper cap on pole piece. Non-inductive CCAW fibre glass 30mm coil former. Silver lead wires. Vented pole piece. Available in 4 or 8Ω version. NRX2 represents the latest iteration of the NRX Series of speaker drivers. The NRX line features proprietary paper cone drivers known as "Norex" as developed by SB Acoustics. During the evolution of newer generation drivers utilizing various cone materials such as carbon fiber, polypropylene, aluminum, and ceramic, significant enhancements were also made to the suspension system, damping, voice coil, and coil former. Each new generation has introduced a range of subtle refinements that have accumulated over the years. The NRX2 leverages insights gained from this extensive development, presenting a new yet familiar driver series. It offers improved detail, openness, dynamics, and reduced distortion. In most instances, NRX and NRX2 can be interchanged without requiring any modifications to the crossover.
